Reserve Modeler
The reserve modeler is a system consisting of software tools and techniques that allow the rapid analysis of coal reserves. This analysis can be used for numerous purposes:
- Property valuation
- Mineral Tax Reporting
- Mine Planning
Features
- Uses popular off the shelf software; ArcView, AutoCAD Map, and Surfer that you may already own.
- Quality and reserve data is stored in a relational database allowing for SQL analysis of the reserve data. (e.g. Show me reserves that are greater than 4 feet in thickness and less than 1% sulfur, and over 12500 BTU. These are dynamic queries, once the model is created, it can be analyzed and reused for any number of scenarios.
- Reporting both as tabular reports and thematic maps.
City of Dunbar - Moving to GIS
Mountain CAD created a WebMap for the City of Dunbar to provide citizens and businesses an interactive view of the city overlaid with zoning data.
The user can select any of 4 base maps including Google Streets, Aerials, or Terrain, and a USGS Topo map. Full zoom, pan functionality as well as identify and print support is included.
