The Mountain CAD WebMap

Our Motivation

Sharing maps has always been problematic. To this day many organizations maintain paper maps. To view the maps one must either visit the map room, find the map then see if it has the information that we need. If we need a copy then…

Tackle Those Reserves

Reserve Modeler

The reserve modeler is a system consisting of software tools and techniques that allow the rapid analysis of coal reserves. This analysis can be used for numerous purposes:

Property valuation

Mineral Tax Reporting

Mine Planning

Features

Uses popular off the shelf software; ArcView, AutoCAD Map, and Surfer that you may already own.

Quality and reserve data is stored in a relational database allowing for SQL analysis of the reserve data. (e.g. Show me reserves that are greater than 4 feet in thickness and less than 1% sulfur, and over 12500 BTU. These are dynamic queries, once the model is created, it can be analyzed and reused for any number of scenarios.

Reporting both as tabular reports and thematic maps.
